These stories will preserve our rich history and culture, encourage open-mindedness through candid discussion, promote continued and increased investment in our town, and demonstrate the efficacy of our alumni and residents who have, who do, and who will positively impact our world. It is also our hope this vodcast will get you to say: “I remember that!” “I never knew that about my town!” “We need to bring that back!” “I’m proud to be from St. Marys!” “This town is a place I want to be!” or “What can I do to make St. Marys better?”

 

These vodcasts will serve to entertain, educate, enlighten and elevate viewers’ perspective about St. Marys, Ohio, via online video interviews of academicians, athletes, business and community leaders, distinguished alumni or anyone with a story to tell which augments the development of relationships—old and new—to promote growth for all who do, did and will call St. Marys, Ohio, home.

 

It has been stated, “When the elderly die, a library is lost and volumes of wisdom and knowledge are gone.” It is the goal of these vodcasts to capture as much local history and/or legend for posterity sake. It is desired that viewers will react to the vodcast, to corroborate what has been shared or, perhaps, even present a different version of what has been shared. Viewers can also use the vodcast’s material as a jumping off point to convey another unrelated memory. Thus, these vodcasts can be as interactive and informative as possible. With collective minds working together, history and the present can be connected for future generations.

 

The vodcasts will be aired weekly on the Rider Nation YouTube Station. All viewers are encouraged to share the station with as many people connected to St. Marys as possible. The viewers are encouraged to leave comments or provide stories under each specific You Tube episode or email the same to Ridernationstation@gmail.com. Your comments may be used in future shows to clarify and inform past topics. Additionally, we welcome any ideas for future shows and donations can be made to:

The weekly format will air on Tuesdays. The first Tuesday of the month will showcase a community person; the second Tuesday will showcase athletics; the third Tuesday of the month will showcase a community business, place or event; the fourth Tuesday will showcase education. If there is a fifth Tuesday of the month, it will be a wild card show.
